2011 ORC Youth Running
Congratulations to Kristen Gottstine, award recipient of the 2011 ORC College Scholarship!
This year's ORC scholarship winner is Kristen Gottstine, a 9 year ORC member. Kristen will be graduating 5th in her class from Kingston High School. She was captain of the Varsity Indoor and Outdoor track teams and holds 4 school relay records. She also ran Cross Country and played JV soccer. She has been an active volunteer at many local running events, as well as other community service events. She will continue running at the collegiate level at SUNY Geneseo where she will be majoring in physics.

On Monday 6/6/11, the LIVI-LOVE 4K Race, Olivia Belfiglio Memorial Scholarships were awarded to:

See the ORC Calendar. Announcing... a new resource just for kids who like to run! The New York Road Runners has recently launched a new Web resource to help teach kids how to run. It's called "A Runing Start" and offers more than 80 activity demonstrations and best practices for teaching fundamentals like form, pacing, and agility. Check it out at www.nyrr.org/arunningstart. They are also giving away $10,000 to celebrate the launch of the website.
